It just takes time.
Today - the 4th - would have been Mum's 91st birthday.
I knew, several months ago, what I was going to get her as a present, because I'd found a cordless telephone with sensibly large buttons for old arthritic fingers. Sadly, her death at the end of July means that phones, or flowers, or any other physical gifts, won't work any more. But there are always memories - and those I can share with other people...
That's why I'd like to tell a story about another birthday present, from about 15 years ago, and what happened afterwards. ( Read more after the cut )
