Spam from Ankh-Morpork?
Jun. 2nd, 2007 06:37 pmI don't usually give spam so much as a glance before dumping it, so I don't know why I looked at this one. At least the looking made me laugh. What you see here is a straight cut-and-paste; all the errors are as received.
Whoever wrote it doesn't have English as their first language, and it shows (my guess is they're Russian) and of course that "cruelty to the common comma" made me think of Captain Carrot. Subtle, clever phishing is a real problem, but something like this, including the simple fact that I'm not a customer of the supposed bank or even one with a name remotely like it, makes me wonder just who (if anyone) gets taken in.
